I love the sight of seagulls because that means water is nearby! My wife and I took a trip to Washington a few summers ago. We landed in Seattle, picked up a rental car, and strode up the beautiful oceanside roads. I love seeing the green mountains in contrast to the cool, glassy teal waves below.
After a sweet little drive and exploring the downtown of Port Angeles, we drove over to a small peninsula. There, on a large piece of sea-tossed wood, sat a very stoic seagull.
The smell of salty water in the air, the cool breeze whisping around your ears, and the bright sun illuminating the mountains over the water in Canada—it was a great time!
